correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't a broken snap ring have raised some concerns? Is it a coincidence that you are having problems only a 1000 miles later?

p1740, well i did the change at 80k when i found the snap ring, no problems shifting or anything, then at 81k i had the governer pressure sensor and solonoid done with new fluid, now at 82k im having the O/D problem

the snap rings breaking are common, and i know its going to need a rebuild, but if it shifts just fine and only has this one problem why do i need a full rebuild at the moment? i just dont have the money for it right now and i just want to fix whats wrong, not replace the whole thing

I didn't know you had a broken snap ring. Rebuilt it and install a Transgo.

In order to install a new snap ring, the transmission must be dissassembled.
