Default newbie question on the 5.9

i just bought my first dodge ram and am loving it. love everything about it as well. but i have to admit i have to make it look more aggressive and better looking. other than know i have a 5.9 magnum v8 i cant find valve covers or intakes etc. for it. my buddy says look for the Chrysler motor size. but i dont know whether is the small or big or what the motor size is. i no alot about fords and foreign cars but this is my first dodge. any place to find cool aftermarket parts would be nice. thanks again guys.

P.S. not looking to "rice out" looking for fuction for off road.

its a 360 small block

you WILL have a plenum gasket blow out, if its not already. this allows oil to leak into the manifold, and can foul plugs, clog cat etc.

^that is where you can get a plenum reenforcment kit, which i have and it does wonders, and you wont have to worry about the plenum again.

http://summitracing.com

^you can find whatever you need from those two sites.

Welcome to DF, do yourself a favor and put all the info about your truck in your sig, as you see 95RAM360 and I have done below the pic of our trucks. Before someone like me gives you a hard time for not doing so.

Make sure when you order engine parts that youu get them for a Magnum motor, not an older style LA motor.

Oh, and post pics of your ram plz. How many miles are on the ram, trannys are a big problem also. Might want to save your pennies and take care of those few problems first. Otherwise theres a few sites online like ..summit, jegs, stylintrucks. Where you can grab stuff.

Yeah, before you start adding aftermarket crap, give your truck a good tune up and fix the common problems associated with these trucks. Stroll through the FAQ section and take a yonder. You will learn a lot. Welcome To Dodge Forum.
