its likely your tps or gov pressure sensor or soleniod causing the funny shifts....i had the same issue till it stopped shifting all together..
I myself only put about 1,200 miles on mine in the last 6 months but at 13mpg its still no where near the 2grand in non cosmetic repairs she has needed since then....thank god for the reliable ford van I put 20,000 miles on in the same amount of time with only one trip to shop for leaky powersteering pump...

He said he has a shortbox and his tranny takes to long to shift between first and second..but his TC locks up fine...I've had to translate far far worse lately from posts that looks like a second grader wrote them... this forum has some of the worst spellers/grammer I have ever seen online by far..some can only type text gibberish as they forgot english?

it doesn't matter what truck you own, course the 2010's i believe have that mod on them that cuts out cylinders, anyhow, i owned a full size gmc sierra with a v6 that got 12 mpg with a manual, personally if your that concerned with it theres one simple solution, get a diesel and make your own cost you oh what was it $30ish for 50 gallons give or take, yeah you have to buy the $1200 or whatever it is for the kit but in the long run you'll save lots, i'm about to file bankruptcy but i tell ya i have a v10 and i'll be damned if i'm gettin rid of it, thats what the nissan altima is for.

On a side note, it would be nice if all the newbies that posted in this thread would fill out their profile info.
