Total fuel bill...$$$$$$$
I know we don't want to think about it, but these trucks are gas hogs!! I've tried everything to get better mpg, we all have, but the fact is that these engines love to drink fuel. So I started to think about the amount I've spent ONLY on fuel since I've owned this truck, and came up with this thread. I'm going to assume my numbers at 13mpg... it's a pretty good estimate for combined city and highway for MY truck with my mods...
In the 2 years i've owned this truck... 72,678mi /13mpg= 5,591 gallons of gas x $3.00 average= $16,773!!
total gallons used by truck 242,678mi /13mpg= 18,667gal x $2.00average= $37,335!!
I think $2.00 is a good average number of the last 11 years and $3.00 over the last two years.
I'm just wondering where everyone, or anyone that's interested, stands with their numbers!

1200/15 mpg = 80 gallons x 3 per gallon = 240 dollars

Ha!!! MPG. Im a student and I work weekends for minimum wage. I can barely afford to keep my '99 1500 a quarter the way filled. Actually today was the first day in six months that ive put over 3/4s of a tank. I spend about $40 a week and thats when im not heavy on the throttle.
