Default power steering

I have a 2000 ram 1500 v8 5.9 SLT Laramine. I replaced the power steering pump and one of the high pressure lines to the pump, roughly $980.00. It still wines loud and is driving me freaking nuts! need to figure out what i can do to get rid of the loud annoying noise. Thanks- Greg

sounds like you got taken for a ride..... that's a ton of money for a ps pump.

OT, Zman, did that Rock Solid Ram Steering work out good for you? What kinda job was it to replace? If it's worth it I'll order one

Maybe he meant $98? I doubt a Lambourghini power steering pump costs that much...

You did check power steering fluid no?

Does the whining noise change as you move the steering wheel? If so, it is the pump, if not, its something else.

It only fixes the clunk, not left to right looseness.

Up North? Canada? Even at $200 shipping you got taken! Simple as that.

ahhh ok, well I'll have a good look at mine and see if it would help me out at all.

Parts in Canada aren't expensive at all, It would have to be in the arctic circle for that kinda price. Flown in on a little Cessna plane too.
