Default Truck Died & I Need Help

I was driving my truck the other day and everything was fine, but then it started to bog down and then it backfired 3 times and died.

I had it towed back to my house and pulled it into the garage. Hooked it to my scan tool and no eninge codes. So I bought a crank sensor, new pickup coil and put those in, as well as a new cap and rotor, and still nothing. I checked spark and it has it at the coil, but not after the cap and rotor. Now I'm going to replace the coil and see what happens.

I replaced the timing chain about 2k miles ago and I did the plenum gasket at the same time. I just can't figure this thing out and am looking for some pointers.

I also checked top dead center and the rotor is in the right place so it didn't jump time when it backfired, but I am just lost on this one

If that were the case it would still have spark at the plugs, but it doesn't. I just don't think its fuel related, I will check that too, but the no spark thing boggles my mind. New plugs and wires were installed when I did the timing chain and plenum gasket, brand new cap and rotor were put on again 2 nights ago.

My brother didn't get done with work until 7 tonight and is bringing a coil with him, if it fixes it I will let you guys know.

If the coil doesn't fix it what is next? Distrubitor? Computer? I'm almost done with this thing, it ran fine and hasn't acted up ever until the other day.

LOL its all good.

The coil fixed it and now she runs better than ever. It must have been getting weak for a while.

But this week I might order an SCT programmer and see how it runs then
