M1 Mopar Performance Intake
I got mine when my dad and I picked up a 408 with a spun bearing. So I didn't specifically pay for the M1. I had the plenum leak, and I figured I could run this on the 318 until summer when the 408 gets fixed and dropped in.
i think some of you guys missed him saying he may be able to get the M1 for about the same price as the hughes plenum kit
for that price you'd be crazy to not go for it, just depending on the year of your truck (egr vs. non egr)

How many miles on your truck? Ideal time to replace the tchain/gears & add say a krc 206 cam as well
My truck has 84,000 miles on it. Runs strong just wanting to fix the plenum issue. I dont burn that much oil. Maybe one or a little more quarts per oil change. I'm still thinking about the m1. I'm gonna fix the plenum this spring or summer so since i'm in there if i can get my hands on a cheap m1 i'm going for it. I'm still waiting on the guy to email me back about the part number and if it has the install kit.
Here is the link to the intake i was talking about....

I asked him a few questions about this intake and what kind of dodge it came off of and he wouldnt answer the question which worried me (because of the part number.) I cant find that part number anywhere. I searched for hours over the internet and didnt find this intake. He says the part number is "p4532587." None of the dodge ram mopar m1 intakes had this part number on summit or mopar websites.
He also doesnt have the adapter which is about 65 bucks. I'd need to buy the intake gasket and bolts too. So in extra parts it would be around $100-$120ish plus the cost of the m1 intake. It would be cheaper to buy the hughes kit. I was just hoping i could get this for about the same price but it looks like its going to go for a lot more.

Pass on that!
Not really sure what that is, I can tell you it is NOT a Magnum M1. The water return on a Magnum M1 is located on the drivers side, not angled off the stat.
Closest I can find to it was in the 99 MP cat. Very similar to the oval track W5 M1/4BBL. That part was discontinued in 00.
This intake will have an operating range of 3000-7000rpm. This is intended for a seriously built 408 with a high stall tc, preferably with boost. Really bad choice to put this intake on a stock 5.9 as its moving the power band way beyond your cam/heads capabilites.
Alot of the part # were supersceded back in the late 90s early 00s. My M1/2BBL is P4510016 (egr version)
