I'm so sick of this truck....HELP!!!!!!!

Got a new radiator...made no difference. every about 20 minutes now all of the sudden the temperature jumps up...i kill the truck and slowly take off the radiator cap. It lets a whole bunch of hot air out. I refill the radiator and it takes about 1.5 gallons of water. Close it and its fine for another 20 mins

I just don't get it anymore...

What all did you replace? You are losing coolant somewhere. If it gets hot just sitting there, see if you can find a leak. Check to see if you oil does not look like chocolate milk, that means bad. Why were you so certain it was the radiator, and did you ever put your T-stat back in. Are you blowing smoke out the *** end or can you smell coolant burning. These are all things that wee need to help you, or you can just throw parts at it, and believe me, I have wasted millions of taxpayers dollars doing this because people can't tell me what is going on and has been done.

I'll put the t-stat back in in the morning and we'll see if it makes a difference. hopefully this was the problem. W/O the thermostat when i'm driving around in the city now the temp stays around 147 (i have a dashdaq guage that shows exact temp) then when its idling at a red light it will jump up to 220....however if i step on the gas when its in park the temp goes down....

Yeah I was about to head down to the parts house and pay the $160 then I jumped on craigslist and found a wholesaler who sold them brand new for $100 so I picked one up.

Your problems sound identical to mine if I get some more clues or info I will let you know.
