Default Failed Emissions: OBD Not ready

Hey all, I did some searching around and couldn't find anything really related to my question. So I will just make a new thread.

I did a NY State inspection today and failed because of emissions.

It says that my Evaporative System: Not Ready

And Oxygen Sensor Heater: Not Ready

wth Does this mean? I have never seen not ready before, does that mean that I have to replace some senors? Or that my computer is just stupid.

I have had the P1740 code for a while now, and before I took it in, I used a cheap scanner to just clear the code. Before I did that I checked to see if any other code would come up, and nothing did. Do you think because I cleared that code, it threw the computer system off. Any input would be great, thanks guys!

Sweet, thanks, guess I didn't look hard enough. And looks like it was because I cleared that code, so now I have to wait for the computers to reset.

And you had the P1740 code? With a check engine light on?

No I erased my codes last night but I had the 1494 I think it was and one for the coil. However due to the weight class on my truck I can have the CEL on and still pass. Probably different here in PA

Yeah that's a possibility. I cleared the code like 40 minutes before my inspection, I should have done it the day before so it would have time to reset the computer.
