+1, has to be one or the other if it's doing both. I'd lean (no pun intended) towards bearings.

well my golf cart is IFS so because the alignment is off slightly when you drive forward the wheel kind of point into each other slightly making the tires point inward at the bottom and when you go backwards they want to walk apart and do the opposite....if the OP doesnt have a solid axle this could very well be a result of him not adjusting the stuff he replaced right...

Well, the OP says it's a 4x4 so that takes care of that question.

So i checked the ball joints, wheel bearings, and pretty much every thing in the front end... my dad found one loose/worn stabilizer bar, but what i noticed now is, when im going forward, the tops of the wheels lean out and when i reverse some, they lean in.. idk what it is but im just hoping its not something too bad...

Jumping in on this thread late 97 4x4 with 147K., but my front wheels looked the same way and was all over the road when I got the truck (gift BTW). Tires were severely warn on inside. Some history, the front bumper was smashed in and from the looks of the Pass front wheel, I wouldn't be surprised if was in some sort of accident with the front wheel area, but I can't confirm. The previous owner, who is related to my sister-in-law, said he thought it needed a pass front spindle.
Back to the issue. The shop said needed new brakes and hubs, so replaced. They said ball joints didn't have much play so they didn't replace.I also put some used tires on the vehicle. It drives straight now, but the front end is loose. It doesn't pull to one side when I let go of wheel when driving The shop coldn't align as they don't do truck aligns, so they sent me to Sears. Sears tried for two hours to align today, but it would not align. My steering wheel position looks like this / and they said it kept snapping back to that position, even with someone holding it in vehicle. They did not charge me. They also looked at ball joints and said a little play, but not bad. Nothing else looked bad on front end-same thing orig shop said (ie nothing crooked). When I left he said may still be Ball Joints "binding" up and can be dangerous to drive. He also said could be a pittman arm was changed at one time and not reassembled properly, said may be a steering box issue too. I have appt with orig shop Monday to check. Any ideas? Can the ball joints "bind up". I don't want to dump a ton into the front end...I could buy a junk front clip and swap...I think Thanks!

. I'd say it's most likely the pitman arm or the stabilizer arm that's causing your issue
