Taking off passenger side door panel without the door opening
Aight this is going to be a royal pain in the *** and i know it, but has anyone on here tried it and did it with out braking anything ? im already going to be taking out the passengerside seat to get to it but looking at the passengerside dash and the door pannel im wondering if im going to be able to take it off at all with out cracking the **** outta the spot where the mirror is.
yea the latch is toast, the inside handle and the outside handle have resistance against them and the auto lock pops it up n down but it wont open, so i need to pop the door open to see if i can pop the latch by hand to see if something just broke loose. i tried a slimjim to see if maybe the lock just wouldn disingage but couldn get ne where it kept just poping the lock open and not the door.
If i can atleast snap the tabs off the spot behind the mirror and pull it straight towards the back of the truck i should be fine though right ? and once i get the door open " if i get it open " i can just replace the tabs
The retainers that hold the door panel on are a pain to pop out with the door open. The panel needs to be pulled out and then lifted staight up. You wont be able to slide it to the rear. You'd be better off trying to pop the latch open throught the window opening. Roll the window down, push a wedge into the opening and see what you need to move to get the latch to release.
the tabs are cheap any body shop sells them for about $0.25 a piece. Maybe try a set of tin snips or something to just cut the tabs off rather than pry them out by the mirror. IDK just a thought.
i'll post pic's and the solution after im done, im going to go to the junkyard and get another door pannel, theres one truck down there i know of that has one matching mine, imma go pick it up before i try and take this one off and imma do my best not to break it but if i do i'll have a backup.

NO ONE FREAKING TOLD ME ALL THE SEATS WERE CONNECTED!
Yea instead of pulling just the passengerside seat i gotta pull the drivers, the middle and the passenger because the middle console is connected to both the drivers and passengerside by 4 metal rivit's that i cant bust loose, i used a drimmel, a hammer and a flathead and also a grinder, which i cant get the grinder in close enough to do it with out cutting into the mount for the seats, and also if i do cut the rivit's off i'll have to drill a hole and put a bolt on either side to keep the front of the console from dropping 5 inches onto the floorboard.
I HATE WORKING IN THE WINTER!! everything goes so much smoother in the summer.
