I've heard good things about the pro comp lifts in general. I have no experience with them but looked at them when buying my 3" lift. I decided to go with a rough country lift because it was only $270. The pro comp lift was i think over $400 so thats why i didnt buy it. It looked like a very nice lift though.

Does the 3" kit come with coil spacers, lift blocks, add a leafs, and all new shocks?

My truck has had the Pro Comp 3" with 33x12.50 15 on it since 2000. I dont believe there were any problems with it before I owned the truck, and I havent had any issues with it since I got the truck in 06. My reciept from 2000 says $406.32 for the price of the kit with $0 labor, owner at that time must have gotten a deal on the install.

I believe the kit uses the stock leafs(at least the one on my truck), from what I can tell.

Hard to give an honest review.. my shocks, bushings and tires etc are in need of replacement, they are all from 2000 as well, Im hoping this spring to get new poly, tires, shocks and may get new leafs and go to a 3" lift spring in the front instead of the spacer. I guess one positive note I can vouch for would be that its been on my truck 10 years now! I think with new parts like shocks and tires etc it would ride much better.

Currently when I fill the bed with camping stuff I get ALOT of body roll when turning and its only a weekends worth of groceries, tent, clothes, etc.. so I know I couldnt safely tow anything heavy right now. Unloaded and on the street its a bit stiff, not a comfy ride for sure.. in the little bit of off roading Ive done on hardpack rocky surfaces the stiffness was present there as well and delivered a somewhat "jarring" ride.. but its liveable for now and its a truck not a cadillac I always tell myself.

zje400ex: Yeah, thats what the kit coms with. Is that all the things that the rough country kit that you bought came with?

sarmikgar: Do you think it rides like that when you're towing things because your shocks and stuff is in need of repair or because of the lift?

thanks for the input.

I bought all my stuff separate because it was cheaper. I bought a 3" coil spacer for topguncustomz on ebay for $90 shipped. Bought the 2" rear blocks for $50 shipped. Then after I got everything i bought my shocks at http://www.ntwonline.com/. National Tire and Wheel is only 20 minutes from where i live and it was cheapest to buy the shocks there so i didnt have to pay shipping. I got the rough country 2-3" lift shocks for $130 with black shock boots.

So after it was said and done i spent $270ish for everything brand new. I wish i would have bought add a leafs inside of the blocks and 3" coils but i didnt wanna spend a lot of money so this works great for me. I actually think the 3" coil spacer on ebay from topguncustomz has gone down in price a bit. So you might be able to get everything for less that what i paid.

I'm sure the pro comp lift is very nice and you would love it. Pro comp is a good company. Check this link out. It's the pro comp lift on ebay. Maybe you could make an offer and get it for less. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-01...Q5fAccessories

Its not the lift itself, its the worn out parts like the shocks, tires etc. I think that are giving it such a bad ride. The lift itself is just spacers like any other kit of its type.. the quality of the shocks and coils/leafs supplied in said kit will make the difference. Im sure the ride in my truck was much differant when all new 10 years ago.

I dont tow currently, but do fill the bed with stuff for camping- although its not enough wieght to make the bed lower than normal, the bodyroll when loaded on tight turns is greatly increased(probably worn shocks/coils/leafs).

The truck gets driven very little, since 2006 I have only put about 3k miles on it, but it needs tires soon and I think Ill do the susp. stuff then too, may even get new rims.
