Thinking of dropping oil pan...
ok im saving some money right now for some big truck purchases, but would like to still work on my truck.
I was thinkin about dropping the oil pan to clean up the screen and stuff, and possibly do my rear main seal. ive read all the write ups, and know how to do it, but is there anything i should watch out for? be careful of?

Ram360, Depending on what you read, or who from. You might have to to some manuvering to drop the pan. I.E. Jacking engine or trans or loosening the mounts to gain clearence for the back lip of the pan.
ill look into that, but when i looked at it, it looked like it would clear just fine, the pan sits about 4-5 inches above everything, and theres nothing around the bolts blocking any of them.
does it almost touch the bottom of the pan? i know the front of the pan is shallower that the rear, and i know its in the rear of the pan, but do you know how close it sits to the pan?
if its an inch above i believe i can clear it no problem

There is no need to. I took out the oil pan to change out the gasket and didnt have to loosen anything besides the torque rods and the pan bolts. IDK how it is on your 2WD truck, but I didnt even jack up the truck.
The pickup should be 1/8" above the bottom of the pan. The hardest part for me was clearing the main caps with the front of the pan.

purple, did you have to remove your starter and flex plate dust cover ?
cool, this reassures me...im going to tae a video of before Oil PSI and after oil PSI, and see what just cleaning the screen does. Its 45 running and 40 idle as of now, but when its cold its like 50
