Truck stored 2 years, now won't start

if you can, most people cant take them off before dropping the tank, so i personally would jack up the tank enough to loosen the straps, take the straps down on one side and slowly lower the tank to where you can get your hand in there to disconnect the hoses. then once u get them disconnected just fully drop the tank to the ground and clean it out

take a flathead screwdriver an a hammer and tap it to the left, just dont break it.

remember right = tight left = loose.

ok, i knew the older tanks had the ring, hadnt ever dropped my rams tho.....+1^ about the screwdriver......they do make a tool, but theres no point

A large screw driver might work, but you would be much better off with a short piece of a 2X4. Less of a chance of you driving it through the ring or the tank than with that screw driver.

found a strap wrench at advanced 8 bucks got the job done puttin new pump in tomorrow
