Question Leak

I have a leak around water pump area. I can not define exactly where is it . Today I went to the AutoZon* and BOUGHT a new water pump and they said they not have gasket for sell . They toll me, all leaks in that area are because the pump and it must be replaced. Is it possible a leak because the gasket or 100% of times is the water pump? I have a 500 miles trip tomorow and today I did not have time for replacement but I will take the new water pump with me and my tools just in case but I want to be clear on this issue. Somebody plz?

Some corrections were done. Thank you "Mr Language"

First let me start off by saying, if you want us to help the best we can, then YOU have to check your grammar before you submit your thread. Bad grammar hinders us from understanding the problem at hand.
Now to your problem. If one auto parts store doesn't carry you water pump gasket, then go to another store. For the most part, they are everywhere (except where you checked). You can also use an Aerosol gasket maker instead of a preformed gasket.
If you can wiggle your water pump pulley WITHOUT THE BELT ON, then your water pump is toast. Change it. If you swapped your water pump and it STILL leaks, it could be coming from your timing cover. Then you'd need to change you timing cover gasket. Best of luck.

I've heard and had first hand experience with the timing chain cover gasket blowing out at upper left corner circle (passage), being a common problem?, Could'nt track it down until it started pissing a good stream out, it was a slow leak at first ,then the chunk of gasket blew out.Went to the parts store and before i told him i had a leak and just needed a gasket, he pointed out on the new gasket where the common occurence was , low and behold when i got it tore apart there was a small piece missing from that spot.

it possible, but not common for a waterpump gasket to leak all by itself.
it is fairly common for the timing cover to leak. the water pump mounts on top of the timing cover, and shares the big water tunnel to the block.
its also very common for the water pumps to wear out and leak around the pulley shaft seal.

how bad is it leaking. if you take several gallons of water with you, and keep it full, and watch your temps, you can probably make it ok. water pumps ...usually... start leaking gradually.....

Are you serious?! I was trying to tell you, in a helpful manner, how to go about getting your question answered around here since you only had 39 post! A lot of people won't help simply because they can't read it. It becomes a distraction. If you don't want to take my advise, so-be-it!

Disrespectful little 20 somethings like you, who don't know how to act or, for that matter, how to take criticism give this place a bad vibe.

Regarding that comment about speaking Spanish?! First off, I am MEXICAN. My parents are from Jalisco, Mexico. I can read, speak and write Spanish. Now as far as you speaking "PERFECT Spanish". What's the point of you speaking perfect Spanish when you can barely write legible English?

Now that you've said your piece and I said mine, let's just leave it be.

Before this gets out of hand let me just say that this is an English-speaking forum. All are welcome to participate, but as it is primarily a technical forum, the better you express yourself, the better your chances of getting a quality response. I saw nothing wrong in what J415 posted earlier nor did I see any reason for anyone to cop an attitude over it. I am Cuban and speak Spanish also, but I know that for a non-native English speaker to be better understood they need to take extra time and reread their posts 2-3 times before hitting the Submit button. In fact, that is good advice for even some of the native English speakers in here. Punctuation and grammar are important even if this is just the internet. Now, settle down everyone or I will simply close this thread.
