Default Question about dual stabilizer DIY

I like it..... I've been thinkin about a dual setup too for a while. Does it really make that much of a difference?

And don't most dual kits usually set the shocks side by side?

Some do, but I like this setup better. For one, ground clearance is better. For another, this setup is better balanced. Whichever direction you turn you are pulling on one stabilizer and pushing on the other. On a side-by-side setup you are pulling both in one direction and pushing both in the other. No shock has the same resistance in both directions, so this could make the steering slightly stiff when turning right compared to when turning left.

It was made into a DIY in the FAQ section. I moved your post into a new thread so it could be responded to.

I wanted the inline setup from the start. Miami stated the logical reasons, I just liked the look of the inline setup better to tell the truth. Also the models with the inline were cheaper, Superlift and Fabtech had the stacked versions but they were about $50 more than I paid for the Skyjacker. As far as the handling part, not much difference on the highway, but ran up a sandy dirt road for about 2 miles at 50 mph....HUGE difference here. Best part was my local 4Wheel Parts store had my set in stock. The Cummins and V-10 have the Military axle tube so make sure you get the right one.
