Looks like much if this is going over your head, my advice still stands.

I didn't say it needs an alignment, the point is is to find someone who can tell you whats wrong - Alignment shops, making their living off servicing front ends, are an obvious choice.
Comprehende ?

After he did that it seemed fine but after driving it several days there is still a problem of 1 inch play turning steering and it's dangerous. I went to the dealer today and made appointment to bring it back in the morning. I asked the service people if I should bring it to another shop but they asked me to let them fix the problem. I felt good after speaking with them today.

Oh, I see, thank you.
I have appointment 8am tomorrow with dealer and will bring a list of the items mentioned in the thread for him to look at. Hopefully after he puts it on the rack again he will find the problem. With truck running the steering wheel turns 1 inch in either direction without moving the wheels.

YOu go to any shop and they will tell you the same thing that they did!

You need to stop going to the dealer. Have someone in the truck turning the wheel with you looking under the hood and under the truck at the steering components. Look where things are moving, and where they arent moving. The part in between them is what needs to be replaced.

Hmmm.
Since I trust the dealer a little bit more than someplace else I figured give them another shot. Have been dealing with this dealership for many years.
