Default Torque converter problem?

A few months ago i was hauling furniture and going down the highway it was reving high than normal. It would shift to 4th gear, but the rpms would not go under 2000 rpms at about 60-65. That went away but its doing it again. It shifs 1st to 4th fine but the rpms only drop a little in 4th so 60-65 is around 2000rpms compared to 1300rpms before. Could the catalytic converter cause this if its plugged or is it a tranny problem? Thanks

Could be either of the two. Also the torque converter. Had similar problems last week.

Did it go away or did you fix it?
