motor swap

Default motor swap

well as u no jet fuel and 360s dont mix but any how i found a 360 with 155,000 miles for $600 so i gess ima do that. so what i need to no is what all do i need to do a strigh up motor swap. i no ima need a rear main oil and filter antifreze, and spark plugs and wires. is there any thing im missing?

why get so many miles on it , your going to need to replace that one too , im sure you could find one with lower miles

who cares about miles man, get a 318 then you'll be able to drive it for a half a million before she kills over unless you plan on putting jetfuel in it.

what year is the motor? i only say that becasue 94-95 egr and and 98is up have diff coolin ports

just use or intake

$600 is way to much for that motor. I paid $400 for my 360 out of a 1994 Dodge 2500 with 100K miles. I also got to hear it run before I bought it.

ok simply put i have a complete motor, what do i need to swap the motor. like what kind of gaskets, fluids ect. any tips?

my truck is a 2001 the motor is coming out of a 1999. this should work right? i still have my blown motor, intake, and ect.

if its the same motor then just drop it in after doing a full tune up, head gasket's new thermostat waterpump oil, timing chain plenum gasket, plugs wires destrib cap an rotor.
