Default gas mileage

alright, now im not tryin to be a little girl but i just filled up and im gettin a little less than 8 mpg. i have upgraded the intake and exhaust but its not like i have huge tires or anything wild like that. anybody know of anything that can help modify gas mileage(for the better)?

i saw this and remembered seein something about arnold doin something like this to one of his hummers... anybody else try somethin like this or know someone who has?

^that's bull****. don't waste your money.
filling out your signature to let people know your year, engine, tires, and any mods will help people help you.

tune up, replace pre-cat 02 sensor, verify odometer accuracy.
check for leaking plenum, it can indirectly affect mileage by fouling the plugs, and general crappy running.

Yeah it is im getting 7 city and 12 hwy lol and I have a bunch of mods. Im currently trying to find my problem.

well depending what them mods are.... if you got to large of exhaust on ur truck youll loose low end and mileage will suffer for it..... if ur cats clogged or o2 sensors are bad ur truck wont be running right.

I listed the mods on another thread. I will right up some stuff on it some other day if I can't figure it out. The exhaust isn't to big, I hope my cat isn't clogged (its a magnaflow and it isn't showing any other sympotms), the O2 sensor may be bad but Im looking into that. As soon as I get a chance im going to put it on the dyno here at school and see if it is making the power it should be. I am also going to put an LM-1 in the truck and get some AFR info.

what intake did you get? is there a plenum gasket still there?

and 10-14 mpgs is average for these trucks
