thanks for all your input guys. I really appreciate it. After trying and checking the things that were suggested to no avail, I broke down and took it into the shop. Pinched wiring harness between the throttle body spacer and mounting stud, cutting off the ASD relay. $380 fix.

Another reason why TB spacers are useless.

Default please help me

i drove my truck last saterday night and everything was perfect as always. but i go to start it sunday morning and it did start and run but when i put it in reverse it dies. and hasn't started sense. i found a blown fuse and didnt hear the fuel pump so i wrapped a thin wire around the fuse just to here if the fuel pumped would come on and it didnt ,. but the wire from that fuse started to burn. so i replaced the wire and the fuse and now everytime i turn the key on if blows the same fuse. i dont know what that fuse is for but something is shorting out but i dont know what.I think its the number 9 fuse. i dont have the cover so i cant tell whats its for. but the wires on the fuse ,.one is light green with a black tracer and one is white with a red tracer. i boucht a book to help me and it says the lg/bk goes to the auto shut down relay,. transmission relay and the fuel pump.i dont know where these units are located so i can replace them. does anyone have an idea?

Well, on my 96, the number 9 fuse says "Engine". For what its worth. Going thru the manual, I simply cannot find just WHAT part of the engine it is the fuse FOR. Still looking though.

Edit: Found it. Fuse 9 supplies power to the PCM, and the fuel pump relay. Yank the fuel pump relay, and replace the fuse. Turn the ignition to On. See if the fuse blows. If it doesn't, try replacing the FP relay.
