Possibly the Wheel Bearing?
ok as most of you know with my RAM i have a hop when i turn left with it. Ive replaced all ball joints with MOOGS. Just replaced my pass. wheel bearing with a Timkin. I had a hop left and right, and after i changed the pass. whel bearing, it doesnt hop right anymore, but it still hopped when turning left.
Well its getting worse. I also also noticed when i was 4x4ing today, i got stuck, and when i tried to go (in 4wd) i had the wheel turned left, and the drivers tire was bouncing all over the place, almost like it was going to fall off. was bouncing up and down, side to side. When i got home i jacked up the truck, but there is no play in the wheel at all. This is why i thought my wheel bearing is good. But with the bouncing it did, it looked like a REALLY bad wheel bearing, but when jacked up theres no play.
Is it possible the wheelbearing could be bad even though theres no play?
i had the guy i was 4x4ing with scope it out, and the pass. tire is not bouncing, its only the drivers tire.
Also the wheel wasnt all the way turned, it was only half turned maybe. same thing when turning right, only the drivers tire would bounce

When you had that front end all tore apart did you replace the front U-joints? If it's bouncing when the 4x4 is trying to spin the shaft one of the axis on the u-joint doesn't want to spin. The more left/right turn you put in the axel shaft the more the wheel is going to jump up/down front/back.
Jack it up, put it in neutral, crank the steering wheel around all the way to the left and all the way to the right. Spin the tire if you can't spin it around and around the u-joint is seizing. Might as well do the pair.

i was going to do the axle seals and u-joints soon, but ive checked u-joints, and theres really no play in them. The pass. u-joint has so minimal play. maybe about a 1/8 to a 1/4 in of play, and its only when the cap is up from the Driveshft, and when its in the middle theres no play.
as for jacking it up and spinning the wheel, when i checked it last time, the drivers tire would spin fine, but the pass. tire was binding when turned left. but that was before i did the wheel bearing so i dontknow if its still like that. Ill be checking that today

+1 with Flue on checking the universal.
If you don't have help to turn the wheel, just disconnect the steering link and spin the tire while moving the knuckle.
If it binds anywhere you need a new uni...Usually one of the 4 needle assemblies will sieze.

I just got new tires on, and now theres absolutly no hop....which isweird but my old tires the outside edges were gone, and the middle/inside was still like 75%tread...so maybe this was causing my hop?
