Air Pressure
The pressure listed on the side of the tire is only what you shouldn't exceed... it's not a guide to how much air you should run.
Whatever it says in the door jamb is for the stock tire size. If you go with a bigger tire, subtract 1 or 2 psi from that, if you go with a smaller tire, add 1 or 2 psi to that. But thats just a general guide. If you want to know exactly what to run, you need to weigh the truck, measure the desirable footprint of the tire, and do the math.

Cowboy - 50 psi front and rear on the road? Do you haul rocks or tow or something? I can't imagine putting 50 in my tires. Like rocks them is. I ran 28/26 with stock bumpers. I'm now at 30/30. When I'm on the trail I'm down around 16/16.
Greenram - Personally, I would reco that you start at 35/35 and adjust as you need. Each tire on each truck will be a little different. For example, a soft 35" M/T on a 16" wheel and hauling around your fat sister is different than a 35" A/T on a 20" wheel and just you and the bull dog ridin shotgun.

You must spend a boatload of money on tires. Sorry, but thats just not smart. There is no reason to put 50 psi in the tires on your truck! What are you trying to gain by doing that?
