Only if the local garage can't fix the problem because the job requires an expensive a$$ part only the dealer carries. And then ONLY if you can't live with the problem. They're over priced and under skilled.

I didnt call the dealer to fix my ****, i called a friend that worked there.

Thats a big difference, if i cant fix it my self then it doesnt get fixed.

so basically i'm going to pry the panel off and unscrew that one screw that's at the very top of the panel? the mirror adjuster would still be the way wouldn't it?

so how can you get a replacement glass? especially if it is a heated kind?

dang, i'm beginning to see that dodge uses cheap plastic everywhere they can and then charges out the A$$ for them!

Welcome to the world of 00's the older model's had batter plastic, dashes panels etc etc
if i remember correctly you should be able to pull straight out on the **** for the mirrors gentle to pull it off, and the one screw is the only one at the top of the door and in the plastic insert handle you use to shut the door from the inside there is 2 screws, remove those and the whole panel will pop off with some effort.

Imma catch heat for this im sure.

i'll check on that tomorrow afternoon. hopefully my mirror will be in soon! thanks again for working with me on some simple fixups, i'm just not too mechanically advanced. i wish i was a lot more though. it would be a fun job and save some $$$$ as well

so my mirror came the other day! i installed it this afternoon, took about 30 mins and wasn't bad at all. the worst part...the freaking plastic snap pieces!!!! wow dodge, real genius and pain the a$$ but i have a new electric side mirror.
