Default whats this truck worth??

heres a short description from the current owner...I'm curious what this truck is worth, rough estimate anyways. Thanks guys!!

2001 Dodge Ram 4x4, quad cab, short bed, offroad edition. 5.9, automatic, 5" Skyjacker suspension lift and 3" body lift. 36x15.50-16 Mickey Thompson MTZ radials on 16x10 aluminum rims. Gray cloth interior with no rips or tears in the seats. Factory 4.10 gears and limited slip in the rear. Cold A/C and warm heat. CD player, amp and two 10" subs under the rear seat. 130K miles. HID conversion, Line-x spray in bed linder. I just changed the oil and changed the transmission fluid and filter this week. Full K&N cold air kit. Front brakes were replaced less than 3,000 miles ago. The tailgate has some pretty bad dents due to a chain breaking when the previous owner was pulling out a stuck vehicle. The rest of the body is pretty straight with a few dents and dings in different areas but nothing major for a 9 year old 4x4 vehicle. All original paint from what I can tell.

I cant post a pic here, but heres the link to it.

It needs gears badly. The tranny may be on the way out if he has been driving around with those tires for awhile. Especially if he has been wheeling it.

that baby's lifted up pretty high and the 4.10's are way too tall for 36" tires.

however, if you're wanting a lifted truck, that looks like a pretty nice one, and the 01 offroad is the best it gets. mileage and overall condition look pretty good.

if that's what your wanting, check out hometheater's truck first. his is really clean and in near perfect condition with new trans. if that doesn't work out, i'd say 7000 for the one in the link. if you did a gear change you might could even pull the 4.10's and get a little bit of money out of them, whereas a set of 3.55 would be nothing but boat anchors.

KBB says about 6000, but i think you'll have to pay at least a $1000 premium for the off-road.

By way of comparison, I paid $8k in April for my 2500 with ony 101k miles. Better drivetrain, better running gear, leather interior, SLT+ package and all the goodies offered by Dodge that year. You may have to look harder, but there are better deals out there. In my mind, a truck that's already lifted, has big tires and the wrong gear ratios is a potential liability.

im not planning on paying cash out right for it, hes interested in doing a little trading...I am sprayedhatch on that forum and you can see what I asked him, and after he replied and I replied in the thread he sent me a PM and we've been talking about a few different options. I have 4K in my truck the way it sits and $500 in the mustang roller I mentioned and hes wanting 1K to boot. so i'll have about $5500 in it, but if you guys think its not that great of a deal i'll pass on it.

I'm also thinking for that 1K that i'd have to give as boot I could lift my truck with a 5" skyjacker lift and buy me some wheels for that price....

Thanks for the opinions fella's

$5,500 seems pretty good to me. Looks good from the pictures but if he has been pulling out stuck trucks and doing offroading it might need to $$$ in the future.
