lifting 1998 sport 4x4
Where did you get this idea from? Spacers change absolutely nothing regarding coil spring characteristics, that's the main appeal of them. You can put them on your truck, get a couple of inches of lift and see almost no change in how your truck handles (you should have an alignment done afterward, though). The spring isn't any more compressed with a spacer or reduced in travel.
B) 35" tires on a stock truck? Is yours also an Offroad model? I doubt you can go wheeling with those 35s on a stock truck and not rub them all to hell. How about showing us a pic of your setup?
i have a 99 sport and i ran my 35's for a week and a half with no lift what-so-ever, and hell yeah they rubbed when turning all the way in one direction or anytime there was articulation. they did fit, but wouldnt reccomend doin it...plus it looked goofy as all hell because there was no wheel well, lol, the tires met only an inch or two from the bottoms of the fenders, lol. good thing i lifted her up....she looks nice now
^ Exactly. Yes, they'll fit physically, but there will not be enough clearance to turn the wheels lock-to-lock without rubbing or to flex the suspension without stuffing a tire into the fenderwell and hitting something.
I totally was thinking *** backwards. I have a 2001 offroad package. For some reason I was thinking sport models had the same amount of factory lift. Offroad no problems only a slight rub when i turn full lock left. But since I replace my control arms with 2006 2500 arms they rub less.
