Opinions on my front end repair, bumper mount help.
This is my first post so to start off, Hello everyone.
I have a 1999 Ram 1500, 4x2, 318. Pretty much all stock. Around the start of the year I rear ended a small SUV that stopped in the middle of the road so a dam Toyota truck could make a U-turn over a raised median. Anyways, I didn't have collision so repairs were on me for my truck.
So I replaced my front hood, grill, bumper, tranny cooler, radiator, both fenders, radiator supports, fan shroud, and a few smaller peaces.
Right now i'm driving the truck, i have it all repaired and it looks fine, anyone has any questions about the job I will be happy to answer them. My frame where the bumper mounts is slightly bent though, so on the passenger side the bumper is right against my lights, cant even fit a peace of paper or fishing line between them.
Any opinions on something to fabricate to mount the bumper better or possible ways to bend the frame back into shape?
Here is a link to my album on Photobucket with more pics.

Nice job on the repairs i think it looks great! I personally just got my RAM and have not looked at how the bumper mounts does it mount on the side of the frame rails... If so can you drill the holes so there a slotted fashion so you could adjust the bumper on that side a little in or out. Or if its setup that the bumper mounts to the nose of the frame then could you use washers as a spacer? If it wasn't snowing right now i would go look at mine. Sorry not to be more help. I am sure if it was that easy you would of already done it.
Shoot a few pics underneigth maybe you could kick up some brain storming here. I have seen a few nice custom bumpers that a few guys have made on here.

Damn dude that sucks! i love doing body work, it's one of my passions even though looking at my truck you couldnt tell but i respect any one who isnt afraid of digging in and getting dirty.
Now onto the frame, you could possibly heat it with a torch and bend it back into place with a sledge and a dollyblock, or you could " i didnt say this! " cut the frame caps back about 3 or 4 inches behind where it's bent, and goto the junkyard and cut off some caps from another ram and weld on new ones, if you put some 1/4 steel plates on the inner and outter of the frame and weld them on they will give you all the extra support you will need if safty is one of your concerns.
Goodluck with the process and post the pics when you do your work im really looking forward to fallowing your progress.

The bumper on the Ram mounts on a little horn(I guess you can call it that) that comes out of the frame. On my passenger side this is pushed in about 1 1/2 inches, give or take 1/8 of a inch. I was thinking of getting 3/8 inch steel plate the same height of the gap the bumper mount goes into, drilling holes in it to mount it to the frame, then drilling holes on the other side for the mounts and cutting off the excess. Not sure how well it would work though.

Just since it was mentioned, here is 2 pics I just took of the emblems back on the truck.
Grand total for my repairs as of now stands at $500, the repair shop it was towed to after the accident wanted $4,500. All i need to still do is correct the bumper with a some kind of fabrication, new dashboard since mine is completely gone, and maybe one day do my A/C system, if you notice in the pic i removed the condenser and broke the A/C line off near the firewall.
