Default 2 fouled plugs, oil consumption, engine ticking

I recently purchased a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L from my father and am having a problem with it. The rear 2 plugs on the passenger side become oil fouled about every 1000-1,500 miles. It uses about a quart of oil every tank and a half of gas. There's no visible oil leaks and no exhaust smoke. If i dont run 93 octane it really pings under acceleration or over 3,000 rpms. After reading other posts on websites its leading me to believe it might be the plenum but I wanted to get some of your opinions on here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

+3 welcome to DF, where if it says "Dodge" anywhere on the truck, you have a plenum leak. Also figure in with the plenum repair, new O2 sensors, as well as a complete tune up. Even if you just changed or replaced those items.

Amazing he searched, figured out what he thought was wrong, asked just to make sure, and found the fix.

Only if all the noobs did this.

You might want to fill out your sig too.

No such thing as a "tune up" on these vehicles.

We would still have new posts, but we wouldn't have 5 on the first page asking what a plenum is
