I'm outta here!
ALL DO ME A FAVOR AND TYPE IN MAXIMA.ORG i just bought my wife one and thought i would check out that forum for great tips and problem spots to check out , IF YOU THOUGHT THIS FORUM WAS HARSH , just do me a favor and browse thru that forum alittle, you get banned for asking or replying to questions without searching or cop bashing or talking about street racing, you would think 10 times before you didnt search thru all the stickys and FAQ, just check it out and see how well we have it in here.........after i saw that forum i thought maybe this forum should pick up a few of the rules, putting all the dodge and nissan aside just give it a browse, and GOOD LUCK MIAMI....(ACTUALLY I'D GET BANNED FOR TYPING THIS OUT, )

Good lord, you guys think this site it brutal??? Anyone that does must have tissue paper for skin... I can see seasoned members getting annoyed though, I see the same "intake/tuner/exhaust/turbo/injector" threads multiple times daily on the diesel forums. Yes it gets old, but eventually someone creatively titles a sticky that addresses a lot of common questions. IMO a "FAQs" sticky or forum doesn`t always seem to work. Sometimes you have to be more blunt with the title, like for plenum fix make a sticky that`s titled "oil consumption, low power, poor MPG fix" exhaust- "Ultimate exhaust thread" ect, ect...
I know I`m new on this forum, but it isn`t my first rodeo. Either way, I will dawn my fireproof suit lol

I wonder if your opinion would be the same had you been here to read a couple of his posts that I deleted?
Ya maybe. My opinion Miami is a great guy, and always gives great info. Your mods and admins, obviously there was reasoning behind what you did. Could it have been done differently? Probably. I still respect Miami, and all of the rest of the admin and mods, even though i may disagree.

From my point of view, it sucks that Rick got complained about and canned, but I don't have the full (detailed) story, so I'll leave it at that.
As far as the whole newbie situation goes, instead of saying to do a search, why not tell them how to search efficiently (mainly to select 2nd gen ram in the bottom right hand corner to filter out all of the other sections) and maybe do one yourself and drop a few links to threads that cover their question. You could also make your reply short and sweet and drop a link to the FAQ section and the DIY links section and tell them that those two are very informative.
Hammers first post was a very good description of a lot of people that come here in a last ditch effort to get their truck running again before they have to sell it to get something that runs and will be able to get them where they need to go without needing any immediate repairs. When the new guys get hostile responses, it turns them off of this site and makes them not want to even bother with it. When they get actual answers then they tend to stick around a while and become "seasoned members".
As far as all the hostility goes, whats the point? I tend to have a neutral attitude toward everything and everyone. If I don't like what someone has to say then I just ignore it. Trust me, it isn't that hard to just blow off negative comments.

All I got to say is I'm sad to see you go Rick. Miami was a damn good Mod who got my back when I needed it. Read the following post:

I'll agree that he was a tough mod. But that's only because members around here start to get lazy and use horrible grammar. Others would just cop a fit because they don't know how to take criticism. I guess I'll just leave it there...and as for aims4squirrels WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO HIM?!?! I miss his input. Really smart guy.

Is it really a lot to ask to spell and use grammer to a point where people that speak english can read it? I didn't think he was that harsh, jesus you guys are a bunch of crybabies.
So basicly your saying this site is set up poorly?
You come on and painstakingly find you way to the right section (hopefully) and the only thing on your mind is to ask a question about how to fix your truck. You don't know a search feature exists, you don't stop to think maybe someone has asked the same question before. You are just frantic and want your truck to work again!

Hope all goes well for you wherever you go
