Doing my plenum
Well, my intake is off and there wasnt a whole lot of oil or baked sludge anywhere. Im in the process of cleaning it all up. I pulled the injectors out, and know I should replace the o-rings. My big question is...there is just a little gunk on the injector (part that goes in the injector boss)....can I just set the injectors in some seafoam to clean them up? I cant find anyone to do one of those sonic cleanings...
Thanks!
Pics will be up later! Not like everyone else hasnt posted a plenum thread, but thought I would just in case I did something different! Im going to cut 1.5" off the runners, at an angle. Also doing the poormans tb intake. Also SCT and plug wires. Will let you know the results!!
Thanks!

I have the hughes plenum kit. This is my DD, so I need something by Monday. I plan on putting it back together on Sunday, after the kegger mod. My truck ran good before, so I would like to just clean them a bit. There isnt a ton of buildup, but I can see they arent completely clean. Also, would NAPA know which o-rings I need, if I just walk in with an injector and say I need o-rings for both ends?
Thanks
Thanks
Carb cleaner and a q-tip ought to do it. That's what I used on mine when i got a bunch of the crap from the inside of the manifold on the tips of the injectors while cleaning it.

+1 lube them with motor oil. NOT VASELINE AS SOME MIGHT SUGGEST!!! BTW, am I the only one that has trouble reading Sheriffs post's? I'm way too distracted by his avatar!!!
They are on both ends of the injector. One that goes into the manifold and one that goes into the fuel rail. When you install them set the o-ring on the opening of the manifold or fuel rail and push the injector down. This worked the best for my when installing the injectors.
