Default Drivetrain HELP !

I have a 99 RAM 4X4 5.9, I am having a problem with a noise somewhere in my drivetrain. When I take off from a stop I feel a thump and hear a slight noise. Sometime if I take off slowly it is okay, but if I take normal I feel it. Does anyone know what I need to look for. I'n stumped please HELP !

Welcome to the forum.

What sort of noise do you hear after the thump? Where is the thump/noise coming from? The front end of the truck, driver's side, passenger side, etc. ?

With noises, always have someone drive the Ram in a parking lot with you standing nearby. Listen for the noise, where its at. Noises can do weird things when listening to them in the cab, can sound like its from the center or rear of the truck when its actually the front end, for example.

The noise is kind of a squeal and it seems to me to be coming from the rear. It has always had a clunk noise from park to drive too. Hope this helps
