Angry wrong combination of parts??

I recently added a set of monster eq heads with 2.02 intake valves, comp 20-604-9 cam with .512 lift in/ex, 1.6 harland sharp roller rockers, 52mm bbk throttle body, and shorty headers on my 360 magnum. It seems to have less power than before I ever touched it. I haven't had any tuning done yet though. I expected it to run a heck of alot better. Any suggestions?

I would start here sounds like you have a bunch of new parts but they don't know how to work together, if your computer is not tuned for the new parts it is trying to run the old parts and won't do it very effectively i.e. won't give enough fuel or the wrong blend or at the wrong time.

You should PM hemifever, he can get you a heck of deal of a SCT tuner. I just did I got the complete custom tune. Specifically for your upgrades. He can do just a "canned" tune but with all your upgrades you want the custom. It will be specifially tuned for your vehicle and upgrades.

That is where I would start with those mods it should be a monster. Mine has the TB, Roller Rockers (i went 1:7 ratio) headers, catand exhaust and it did wonders for mine.

Reset the computer again if it hasnt been already, and give it a little while should make some difference but with all that you need SCT

Pretty sure bluebeast2 has a very similar setup with the SCT. He hasn't complained about low end at all

I don't know about topend because I've been babying it until I know where my air/fuel ratio and everything is at now. The bottom end is flat out embarassing though. I know alot is my ignition timing because I was running the 91 octane superchip flashpaq program with 87 fuel and still not getting pre-ignition or detonation. What would you guys suggest I set my fuel sync at? I set it at 4 because that seemed to be the popular setting for everyone on the forum. Does that control the amount of fuel or just the timing of the injectors? Thanx for all the advise by the way!

sct and new higher stall converter is what you need.

Hair under the krc210x with tb & heads, should be decent on power with that combo if timed right. Wouldnt hurt to have a 2500stall tc. Definately need a real tune from the SCT.

Did you set the fuel sync with a scan tool like snap on? Distributor only needs to be off a few degrees for it to run like crap at low rpm. Need to hold 1k rpms, set fuel sync to 4* adv then lock it down. Expect it to have +/-1* bounce w/fresh tchain/grs.

SCT will make a world of difference. A higher stall converter helps a lot. I have pretty close to the same set up in my 4x4 QC, and it does suffer on bottom end. I need 4.56 gears!! Also, without the SCT tuner installed the truck is a complete dog.
