Default Aftermarket Hoods

Nothing in the FAQ polls and I did a search and really didn't come up with anything. My Ram-air hood is at the body shop getting finished. (being made functional and paint) Lets see your custom hoods, tell us what you like and how it works for ya

This is what mine looked like the day before I bought it on craigslist. My body guy has cut out the scoops to make it functional and got it primed. I am gonna take a trip down there today to check on it see if I can't get a pic.

When I bought it:

And I'd lose my scoops in favour of a hood like that if I could swing the $$$

I like hood scoops, but I'm not a fan of flames. I just don't think they look good on anything (no offense Maxx)

haha, I looked real hard at them a couple of times but the hood I got goes for around $600 plus paint. Well some guy bought it and painted the flames and hung it as a display in his shop for 5 years it has never been mounted. He didn't do the underside and it had some orange peel etc. I bought it off craigslist for $200. I work in towing so I know several body shops, guy cut out the scoops to make funtional, is sanding it down, sealer, primer, paint, clear color sanding, and making some stainless steel hinge reenforcments for $200 for me. I am having it painted to match my truck sierra bronze.

I am a fan of those guys who can do the flames REAL good where they look dang near real, (seen on a couple of shows)not like the ones that were on my hood when I got it or even the old school flames

Each flame you have painted on adds 5 HP.

Looking good man.
