iull have to recheck all the wiring in the alt. circuit in the a.m. along wiht the nipple on the IAC..... i know the fuse is good. i just checked them all today... i would think that it would run down the battery if a short or a loose connection was present....

ASD is the auto shutdown relay.... idk what it does. im sure if it blows the truck wont run... lol

and has no trouble starting.... but ill comb it over tmrw... thanks for the advice. i got some angel eyes i got to put on anyway... haha!

i found this link and in it it says that it can control the injectors now that could cause the truck to run rough if it wasnt working properly

the ASD makes sense now. but i still think it would shut the truck down and not allow it to run at all... kinda what that says... lol unless it detects a short. then it throws the code. which i got.....lol

i think i saw the ASD relay on the relay box under the hood... but code definition states that the short is in the charging circuit....
yay!
