Question Whats up with my truck????

ok..... symptoms are a rough idle and sometime hesitant when giving it gas. and when slowing down the RPMs drop low sometimes....

I have replaced. the O2 sensor. changed oil, filter, wires, plugs, dist. cap, rotor, and fixed or replaced any broken vac. lines...

I have cleaned IAC but didnt improve it much...

anyone have any ideas besides the TPS??? the oil pressure is always below 40 and my battery seems to fluctuate between 12 and 14.....

PLEASE HELP!

Well lets see, the hesitation could be a clogged or faulty cat, and the RPM's dropping low when letting up off the throttle could be the TPS.

The rough idling will be caused by both.

well considering there is no honeycomb in the cat theres no way it could be clogged...

Has it been fully hallowed out ? or did you just stick a metal rod in an bust it up, if that's the case it can still be clogged up with the chunks of carbin or just simply rotted metal.

Also if that isnt the case then i would consider buying a new TPS they'er relatively inexpensive

lol :P mine had the same problems and it was the ICS and TPS and with that combination for some reason it messed up the vaccum on the trans and wouldnt shift into overdrive. dunno if that caused it but the overdrive was fixed after i changed both

yes it has been fully hallowed out. exhaust its still patched with a coupling.... i really dont think it is the tps... it doesnt do this all the time... could it be a worn timing chain?

it might be but i dont think a timing chain would do it every now an then, it would be more of a every day problem.
