Are there different lug nuts for different wheels?
The damn search function wont search lug nut because the words are to short?
I have the factory 3 spoke 16" wheels and am going to be swapping them out for the off road 5 spoke 17" ones. Will my existing lug nuts work?
I tried my local Dodge dealer , but he couldn't help me without a VIN. I bought used wheels and didn't get the VIN.... who would have thunk.....

i think they'll be the same. just put one of your old lug nuts into the dimple on the 17" wheel and check fit. also put the new wheels on and make sure they don't hit a ball joint or knuckle or something. check length of lugs and make sure they're not too long or too short. measure backspace of old vs new to see if same.

I had 3 studs break due to using the wrong lug nuts.
Some aftermarket wheels require a bulge-seat lug nut.

On my wife's intrepid the lug nuts that came with her steel rims wouldn't work with the factory aluminum ones i use for summer, so I had to buy new ones that were slightly longer so i could get a wrench on them. As long as the thread pitch is the same, the only other important thing is that the lug nut taper matches that of your rims, and that you can (of course) properly get a wrench on them.
