Are there different lug nuts for different wheels?

Factory lug nuts work with off road wheels.
If you replace them, get the acorn style (the bowl shape on the rim side). the studs are 1/2-20.
I replaced mine a while back and they are rounded on the rim side, but unlike the factory lug nuts, the flats where the 4 way touches go all the way to the bowl shape and they dug into the rim a little bit.
