Sweet grats dude. And you never told us how much your gonna end up paying for it. lol

And i'm with every one else, keep the other truck. Some young kid would buy it and trash it. Its so worth keeping, even more so if you ever hit 450,000. You should contact dodge, you may get a commercial deal or some thing. lol

Oh and well your at it, post some pictures of both trucks, not just the 06.

I drove it some today, and the power it has is incredible, almost scarey.I had the oil changed also. The first time someone besides me has changed oil in any of my family's vehicles in 11 years, and prolly the last time.$74 and change. 12 qts. of Rotella w/Mopar filter. I promise I'll post some pics of both trucks this weekend. It really is a badass truck, and it should be...almost 46 grand when new.

Well I was going to ask if it was an early 07 or not, but now that you said 06 that answers my question... That truck is worth it`s weight in gold. You got the 325/610 5.9 with the latest 48RE trans and more than likely a bulletproof 11.5" AAM rear end. That truck is a tuner, intake and exhaust away from 500rwhp and well north of the 1.000 ft-lbs mark. Stock or not and having the best 4 speed auto they built I still suggest a Trans-Go shift kit.

Also, don`t worry about the 27k payoff, that`s definitely on par for what you would pay for one on the dealer lot.

Anyway, you will replace the body before that drivetrain gives up. Get a bypass oil filter for it, send in oil samples every 10k, and you can stretch your oil change intervals out to 60k or more. Well worth it IMO when you`re talking 12qts of oil a crack. Also, don`t use Rotella-T, that stuff will slime up the inside of your engine like none other (I deal with it all the time in AG equipment and it drives me nuts!) Use Shell Delo 400 or Valvoline 15w40. Don`t fall for the synthetic hype for your engine... The synthetic stuff doesn`t suspend soot very well and tends to leave a lot of deposits in the crankcase. Good idea in the difs, but not the engine/trans IMO.

Just my .02 to get you started in the right direction with your new diesel, I`m a 12 valve guy myself (I own a 94), but the guys at competitiondiesel.com can help you with any other questions you may have, there is a TON of knowledge there.

Your correct on the rearend and all. The new oil looks like the old(black as soot) after 20 miles.I have never heard that about synthetic motor oil, and have had good results with it in the past, in my gasser. Thanks, I'll check those guys out over there.
