Who let that mod guy in here being a downer.

The 360 and 318 is the same block. The stroke is different and the 318 is balanced internally and the 360 it balanced externally. I think that's the only differences there might be 1 or two more. You could use that block and rebuild it as a 360 I believe.

For some reason I think the 318 can only go so far and a 360 can go farther ci wise but I don't know why. I thought I read that on here somewhere though.

A compromise is fine, not bashing your idea at all, just making sure you realize that you can't have the best mudder AND the best DD in the same truck.
my truck has 4:10 gears in it already

again no good for a cam or major mods. The Superchips and hypertech have like off the shelf tunes. The SCT is the only one you can get custom tunes for. If you wanna do a cam and all that you need the SCT

Only other option is getting a flashed PCM. I wouldn't do that though cause if you ever change/add anything you gotta pay to have it done all over again. The SCT if you get it from hemifever is free tweeks.

my cam was 300 bucks. The SCT is not $500 unless they went back up hemifever was selling them for 3 something.

This is where you gotta pay to play. Trust me doing this **** ain't cheap. Been there done that. I'm damn happy with the results though
