Default Adjust mirror?

The glass in my drivers side mirror is loose and vibrates out of position in just a few minutes. How the heck can I tighten that puppy up? There is a liitle hole with a rubber stopper, I probed with a flat tip and phillips screwdriver to no avail. Anybody know how to do this? Do I need to pull the whold damn thing off? These are the fold up towing mirrors fro a 2500.

I must have done a **** poor job of explaining this. The mirror glass which swivels inside the plastic mirror housing is loose. When I adjust the mirror it vibrates out of position after a few minutes of driving. I can't find a way to get inside the housing to tighten it up. When the mirrors are in the towing position (tilted up), there is a small hole directly behind the mirror which is closed with a rubber button. I removed this, probed it with a flat tip and phillips, but didn't find any screw to tighten. Anybody know how to tighten the mirror?

Im not sure about the plastic mirror's but if i remember correctly theres a single flat head screw inside the arm that attaches to the truck, but you have to actually take the whole mirror off to tighten it. IF it doesnt have it then you might have to replace the whole thing but i would call a body shop before you do it.

It's highly possible that the screw you are trying get at insidethe little hole is a torx.
