Default truck sat for 2 years. need a little advice

as the title says, my truck sat for 2 years. my brake line busted in the rear over the diff. it was pouring rain over here so i decided to have the mechanic accross the street take care of it for me. so i just took it for a drive and the front brakes arent letting off of the rotors. what do you think the issue is? something wrong with the slides, calipers need to be replaced, air in the brake lines or just need to be bled in general. my brake pedal is firm.

your help would be appreciated. i'm off to clean out the garage so i can pull my truck in. let me know what you think i should do

It sounds like the slide pins are frozen up. It is an easy fix.

Most likely needs to be bled out, if your brakes are working you could just give it some time and it will even it self out.

caliper slides are seized. Take em off and either change them or clean em up and put a little grease on them

thats what i'm hoping. when the brakes start to heat up i get a lot of vibration (the whole truck). i thought that it was the tranny at first but my rotors were glowing red.

if it is the slides what would you recommend i do?

Actually im going to change my answer from A to B.. i would check those calipers because if they are riding hard enough on the rotor's to make them heat up enough to glow then it isnt a air problem.

Caliper's are easy to change, about 20min per side. Also i would consider changing your rotor's now too because once they get that hot they warp like crazy
