If thats the case, slap a regular gasket in there until summer. No sense in dropping money on the kit imho, only to replace it this summer with the airgap... (less you were planning on mailing me the new pan when your done with it ) haha good luck with everything!

if it give you 6 mpg better i figure that would give me 20 mpg so it should pay for itself in 10000 to pay for itself. or 10000 mile at 14 mpg cost $2140 with $3 gas. 10000 miles at 20 mpg cost $1500 with $3 gas. that would take me half a year.

Yeah you can grab the felpro pan gasket, and I guess the intake gaskets at minimum. My buddy up here at school just did that to get him for now because he needs his truck and is also tight on money. Think about it though... the stock gasket got you that far before it blew so even still this will last you for a good while. If I were you i'd either hold off on it and do it once (airgap, or put a cheap gasket in. And +1 on the g2g. cabela's is still a long way away.

Edit - ps I fixed the dash and bezel Haha what did you end up doing about your twin stabilizers?

Well i dont have a choice but to do it now, i didnt mention it before but the entire reason i found out that it blew was from driving and the engine suddenly deciding that it didnt wanna stay at idle rpms. kept falling below 500, had to keep giving it gas so it wouldnt stall, and i could literally hear the vacume leak from the blown gasket. That and i didnt have any oil in my ram anymore haha. But i will be doing the airgap this year.

For my duel stabilizers, I bought a single and its sitting under my bed in my room haha. I decided to just adjust the current stabilizers, theyre now raised up to where they should be and torqued to spec. They wont ever be hanging that low again, i have my clearance back hahah. Once i get to do the serious work on my ram ill throw them away and put the single one that i have on.

Nice, and just a thought are you sure it is not your IAC motor going out? That would explain both the poor idle and hissing sound if it were. I don't recall anyone ever reporting a hissing sound for a leaking plenum... just lack of power, mileage, and oil in the intake obviously. If you really did have a leaking plenum, I would expect that you would ping with your SCT. Just something to toss out there and think about.
