Hey guys i just picked up a throttle body off a 96 318 from a guy for free, it's basicly new it only has about 10k miles on it. But my question is once i took off my old one and swapped all the sensor's over and went to put the new one on i realised i have a small problem. The linkage for the throttle isnt the same. I was hoping i could take the butterfly rod off mine and use the spring/butterfly rod from mine and put it on the new one.

But i have to goto the store an buy a new Torques screw driver, but all i have to do is take the butterflys off and the rod/spring should slide right out and i should be able to swap them out.

Correct?

 

Yeah in thoery thats all you should have to do. Why are you swapping TBs anway? Did you mod one?

 

im going to have a buddy of mine mill my orginal one down and clean it up because im going to be doing my plenum kit next week along with the kegger mod.

and my orginial one is way beyond corroded i cant clean it off even with a wirewheel, so for the time being im going to use the new one i got untill mine gets back from the shop

 

Yea i just realised my truck has cruise control, and the one i got from the guy doesnt have it.
