ignition relay

Default ignition relay

What would cause the ignition relay to go? The truck wont start when I turn the key i dont here the fuel pump run like normal. This happened 2 weeks ago and i replaced the relay twice. Thought it was my stereo that caused the short so i disconnected it. thought it was fixed. but just found out it wasnt. please help my truck is at the circle K around the block. What do I need to check? how do i tell if the relay is bad?

From what I've read, a constantly blown ignition relay is a sign of a starting-to-fail starter.

When the ASD relay is blown, it shuts down the fuel pump, fuel injectors, o2 sensor and the ignition coil. just a thought.

You can check relays with a 9 volt battery and a multimeter.
