When i worked at my fathers bodyshop we use to mix 1 1/2 cup of filtered sand per gallon of roll on, iv never personally had it on any of my rig's but it rolls on pretty good and when it dries it has a nice texture to it.

Let us know how this stuff looks and how its holding on in about a month if possible. Im going to do my bed when the temps outside warm up alittle bit more.

My dad put herculiner cr*p in his bed and it sucks, never going to waste money on it again but I'm thinking of buying the duplicolor truck bed coating in a gallon can and getting a gun to shoot it myself, I use the spray cans of it on everything, all the racks on my atc are done with it and it holds up way better to **** being thrown on it than any paint

It has plenty of texture for my taste, but you could definitely increase it by adding some sand or ground walnut shells to it. A textured roller would help, but you run the chance of getting air pockets in it that will fail and leave the surface cratered.

I'll let you know in a month...if I'm still here.

Looks good! Just curious how come you didnt do the bottom ? Have you ever had any surface rust problems under the rubber mat before?

Nope, no rust problems underneath. Didn't do it mainly out of laziness. Too much work to sand all that with my 51 year old, beat up body. I crawled into a bottle of Vicodin as soon as I got done. Probably be here for a couple of days. I may go back and do it sometime later, but not really necessary with the bed mat.

Nope, he just has to PM me (or Silver) before it gets added to the FAQ section.

The reason it's half the price is because it's half as thick and has little to no rubbing tracion particles..

Like I said, since I already have a bed mat and rarely need to walk on the bed walls, it was a good alternative for me.

Looks good Miami! And I like what you've done on the front of your box, the brackets welded on there. Did you weld a plate across the length of it? Everytime I put my wheeler on my truck, it bends the front of the box. I have an old 14" tire I stand up in front of it to keep it away from the window, and the tailgate shuts nice and snug that way. I plan to strengthen it up somehow this spring
