1. wirebrush to remove excess rust.
2. soak them
3. soak them again
4. continue soaking even more lol

I had my bolts soaking twice a day for a week (without driving the truck obviously). Mine were rusted pretty bad but came out no issues. Only snag I had with the manifold bolts was on one of the exhaust studs... it didn't want to come out. A little heat from a torch and a pair of vice grips made it happen. Oh and one of the down tube bolts wouldn't budge and that met it's match with a grinder.

Do you have a welder or access to one?

Partially ignore my first post, I thought you were asking about removing the manifold bolts to the head, not the exhaust. All of mine twisted out except one, and that was hit with a grinder like I mentioned in my first post. But still the same concept applies. Soak them!

Same here. Are they bolts or studs? If bolts just cut them off with a cut off wheel then but new ones. You can get a little kit thing for them that has these clips that prevent the head of the bolt from rotating and the bolts themselves for about $5.

You can cut them off with a dremel using one of the black cutoff wheels (the brown ones are weak and changing them gets annoying) or you can use an easy out (the kind that goes on the outside of a bolt head) and just snap them off.
then get some stainless bolts to replace them.

They might break off with a 1/2 " drive rachet fairly easy.

Put anti-seize on the new bolt threads, in case you ever want to remove them. Always use anti-seize on anything stainless steel.

I'm looking to do mine in the near future. I'm considering using a sawz-all with metal cutting blades.

use a drimmel, alot easier to move around. Just make sure you got some extra blades handy
