Default ? about plentum problem

Today I looked down the into the intake. It looks wet but not puttels of oil down there. Is that still a sign of the plenum gasket problem? It is unknown if this has been done in the past. thanks this is a great site

Some oil can be from the pcv valve. But even if it's not pooling, if it's black down there it's blown. And even if the gasket was replaced in the past and they didn't use the Hughes or APS plate, it is or will blow again.

Man, the educational system in this country is in pretty bad shape if this forum is any indicator.

Really, your plenum is gonna be blown at one point or another. But if you really wanna check if it is blown, check this TSB:

It almost makes me not want to come in here anymore. I look at page 1 of this forum and see 5-7 threads with misspellings or improper grammar in their titles and I feel like I'm on the short bus going to the "special" school. I just can't believe the schools today are doing this poor a job of teaching kids basic English skills. I only have a 12th grade public school education and I write for a living. Trust me, I wasn't the greatest student, either, but I somehow managed to absorb 2 languages as a kid (I also speak/write Spanish). Baffling is what it is.

Hey hey hey. When I spelled Valve wrong in the title of my thread, was it because of my 'bad education?' No. I typed the l one letter too early and didn't notice (I'd change the title if I knew how). Some people just make mistakes. For awhile when I first joined, I didn't know anything about an edit button. Now, I use it quite a bit, for things that would probably go unnoticed by others.

As for the schools, I don't think it's their fault. If you ask me, it's a lack of effort from lots of students.

I'd much rather deal with someone who misspells words because they don't know how, rather than that 'text talk' crap (wat r u doing).

I totally agree with both those statements. The easy fix is to have a little pride in how you convey yourself to others and take a moment to reread your posts before hitting the Submit button. Is that a lot of effort?

I'm not really even talking about the occasional typo or transposed letter. That can happen to anyone, even me. But "puttles?" Seriously? And neadspeed? I'm pretty sure he meant needspeed, but now he's stuck with it as is.

You know we've both seen much, much worse.

I think it's funny (or sad) how unmotivated some kids are these days. Have you ever seen a kid walking around with a shirt that says DGAF? It stands for Don't Give A ****. That kinda sums up lots of younger people. Now they've started to wear shirts with that on, but the mentality is still there.
