thx for all the help guys. i picked up a set at advanced for about $10. that exploded view is crazy. i never knew that there was that much junk packed in there.

Junk is a nice word for it, that's why I'm taking mine in to get the rear brakes done next time. To me, it's just not worth the hassle.

When i did mine, i had brake tools and it was a PITA i used the other side for reference, but it was still a PITA, i was about to go postal and dont forget about mixing up the shoes there different lengths for a reason

^^ Sounds exactly like my experience. I have most of the tools needed, and a pair of vise grips but it still took me over an hour and a half. And of course the passenger side is set up SLIGHTLY different than the drivers side...took me way too long to figure that one out.

Im there with ya'll the worst part is when you have a haynes manual so you dont pay much attention to how you took everything off only to find out the manual doesnt have anything close to whats on your truck, took me awhile and had to ask my dad for help just to figure out the maze

But I would rather do it myself and know when Im done its done right and is going to stop when I hit the brakes, plus I dont like other people working on my truck
