Spring from brake drum? !

Default Spring from brake drum? !

So, my squealing coming from my read end turned out to be a spring floating around in my rear brake drum.
as you can see one side is broke off and i couldnt find it. that or it was pulverized. dont know what this does or where it went. can anyone enlighten me an this?

Looks like the spring that holds the bottom of the shoes together. It goes right behind/above the adjustment thingy.

xxxcowxboyxxx you might be right. Now that I think of it that looks a little big for the one I was talking about.

I think the one you mentioned goes from the center pin to the adjuster lever (or whatever its called)

Take the other side off and compare.

yeah i ran out of daylight today by the time i got off work. wonder what caused this to happen. anyone know a website you can buy stuff like this?

Should be able to go to a parts store like Autozone and get them, when I redid the back brakes i bought the spring kit was around $10 and had all the springs for both sides

From what I can see it looks like one end has broken off.
