Rusty bolts are no match for an angle grinder with a cut off wheel on it.

i believe you gotta swap front and rear hangers (pieces riveted to frame) cuz the leafs are wider

Yeah, I was looking into doing that myself. Previous owner must have put 2500 coils in it but left the rear springs. From what I've gathered is you have to replace everything including hangers, shackles,u-bolts, and springs. I would check the rubber brake line that goes to the rear axle to see if that needs changing, If you go with the swap you might need that extra length.

I have replaced mine a about a year ago same problem. i had made my own instead of paying $150 with quarter inch steel and steel pipes and some rubber. if you got a welder or access to one you are set. i made both of mine under $75.

After seeing that I better go take a look at mine. I have a 1994 too and it has spent its whole life in the north. 12 years in Michigan and 4 years in WI. Mine truck isn't as rusty as yours though Yakkier.

i really wonder what the PO used this truck for, it almost makes me wonder if it's ever been sitting in salt water, all the trucks down south that look like this are boat haulers.

The frame it self isnt that rusty, same as the bottom of the cab an bed. But all the suspenion parts are rusty as hell which confuses the **** out of me

from what i see in the pictures... dude, you need to stop driving that truck, and pull the entire body off that truck, and " restore" it, rhino line the frame, and all the body mounts brackets... rubberize what you can, you need some new parts... but yea, take a cut off wheel or a sawall, or a cutoff wheel....

If you want to fund all of that why not help me out too! LOL. I need a new transfer case and gearing. Let me know when to expect a check!
